YUVA CENTRE

YUVA Centre offers an open, reflective space, ideal for meetings, workshops, conferences and other learning and training initiatives. The Centre contains residential facilities too. It aims to provide the best environment for collective learning.

Set up in 2001, the Centre grew from YUVA’s thrust on training since inception. In its design, it embodies YUVA’s values of transparency, openness, and the focus on knowledge for empowerment and social transformation.

Over the years, the space has been used by YUVA and other organisations for the training of diverse stakeholders, including legislative authorities such as elected representatives; executive authorities such as the police and other government departments; the private sector and civil society, including non-profits, community based organisations and others. YUVA Centre is located in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, close to the Central Business District, Belapur. It is easily accessible from Mumbai and offers an excellent environment for learning. Built on a 1,500 sq. m. plot, the Centre offers a range of facilities.

YUVA Centre comprises:

• Conference halls with seating capacity of 35 people, extendable to 50 persons for smaller group activity sessions
• Training rooms for workshops with a capacity of 25 people

The conference halls and training rooms are air-conditioned, with white boards and soft boards, projector and Wi-Fi facilities.

• Exhibition and event halls of varying sizes for exhibitions or social events. The plaza on the first floor forms a focal gathering space, conducive for performing arts and cultural expressions.
• Lodging facilities for overnight stay. 13 double sharing rooms and 2 triple sharing rooms are available with attached bathrooms. All rooms are air-conditioned.
• A men’s dormitory and a women’s dormitory is also available with a capacity of 30 people each.
• A library offering 12,000+ books and resources on urban issues
• A cafeteria offering a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
• Vehicle service for airport/railway station pickup and drop at reasonable rates
