JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Facilitate workshops and activities that focus on physical and emotional development, peer support, and life skills.
  2. Counselling and Emotional Support to youths on individual and group level in 5 community centres in Mumbai.
  3. Professional Development and Livelihood Support as part of career paths, developing job readiness skills, and understanding financial literacy.
  4. Develop modules on wellness and mental health for youths
  5. Reporting and documentation

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in youth counselling, community development, or a related area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate youth.
  • Experience in facilitating group activities and workshops.
  • Knowledge of issues facing urban poor youth, including emotional and psychological challenges, and strategies for addressing them.
  • Familiarity with livelihood development programs and urban greening initiatives is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently effectively in a dynamic team environment, with strong outcome orientation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establish youth collectives within colleges and communities across Mumbai, Maharashtra.
  • Provide comprehensive life skills and leadership training to empower young individuals.
  • Conduct capacity building workshops and advocacy sessions in both communities and college campuses.
  • Mobilize youth towards job readiness through training initiatives and job fairs.
  • Facilitate the establishment and development of social enterprises in collaboration with youths.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of all activities and outcomes.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Prior experience of working with communities & youths on issues of livelihood/education/empowerment with an organization is desirable.
  2. Sincere, hardworking, team worker with a commitment to work within the human rights framework.
  3. Should be comfortable working independently with youths and interacting with different stakeholders
  4. Should be a graduate.
  5. Strong oral communication skills in Marathi/Hindi.
  6. Strong computer skills with hands on word, excel and PowerPoint.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supporting YUVA’s fundraising strategy building and implementation plan
  • Supporting all aspects of YUVA’s fundraising cycle, including but not limited to:
  • Donor prospecting and research
  • Grant writing
  • Relevant fundraising collateral
  • Donor database management
  • Donor required documentation
  • Relationship building with existing and new donors and philanthropic communities
  • Staying abreast with the latest developments in the fundraising landscape, and adapting these learnings within YUVA’s context.
  • Supporting YUVA’s communications team to strengthen the organisation’s fundraising potential.
  • Using knowledge of emerging media trends to leverage media to enhance fundraising.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-5 years’ experience in fundraising within the development sector
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in Hindi and Marathi preferred; the candidate should be able to share complex ideas clearly, accurately, and concisely
  • Excellent creative thinking, problem solving and teamwork skills; this role requires the candidate to build trust internally and externally to further YUVA’s fundraising objectives
  • Experience in media relations
  • Basic knowledge of design software preferred (Canva, Photoshop, InDesign etc.)
  • Sincere, hardworking, deadline-driven team worker with a commitment to work within the human rights framework
  • Comfortable working independently and interacting with different stakeholders—communities, civil society, donors, government officials, etc.
