DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from a recognized university.
  • Prior experience working on education/youths and with any organisation is desirable.
  • Skilled in communicating in Marathi/Hindi.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills such as MS Office, email, and online applications.

ROLES:

  • Form and strengthen community-based groups (SHGs, CBOs, youth groups, etc.)
  • Conduct regular outreach through meetings, trainings, and workshops
  • Facilitate access to legal entitlements, government schemes, and basic services
  • Advocate with local authorities and relevant stakeholders on community issues
  • Maintain records, document activities, and submit periodic reports
  • Travel regularly within assigned areas for fieldwork

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience of working with communities or with a social organisation (preferred)
  • Sincere, hardworking, and committed to human rights values
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong communication skills in Marathi and Hindi
  • Basic skills in documentation and report writing in Hindi/Marathi (preferred)

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • MA in Social Work or related fields.
  • 1–2 years of fieldwork experience in the social sector, preferably in child rights, protection, and community mobilisation.
  • Prior experience of working with children, women, and local systems (Police, CWC, Elected Representatives, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of child rights processes and child protection laws.
  • Skills in mobilisation, facilitation, and training.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Marathi are essential; knowledge of Hindi and English will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of computers and basic documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The role involves executing a project focussed on housing, basic services and informal work
  • Areas of work include improving habitat, enabling access to basic services and livelihoods
  • Developing innovative ways of working with communities, conceptualizing campaigns, involvement in networks and advocacy 
  • Field work, documentation, research and monitoring will be core tasks

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of habitat and informal workers issues
  • Masters Degree with at least 2 years of prior experience of working with communities and with an organisation is desirable
  • Sincere, hardworking, team worker with a commitment to work within human rights frameworks

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supporting YUVA’s fundraising strategy building and implementation plan
  • Supporting all aspects of YUVA’s fundraising cycle, including but not limited to:
  • Donor prospecting and research
  • Grant writing
  • Relevant fundraising collateral
  • Donor database management
  • Donor required documentation
  • Relationship building with existing and new donors and philanthropic communities
  • Staying abreast with the latest developments in the fundraising landscape, and adapting these learnings within YUVA’s context.
  • Supporting YUVA’s communications team to strengthen the organisation’s fundraising potential.
  • Using knowledge of emerging media trends to leverage media to enhance fundraising.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-5 years’ experience in fundraising within the development sector
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in Hindi and Marathi preferred; the candidate should be able to share complex ideas clearly, accurately, and concisely
  • Excellent creative thinking, problem solving and teamwork skills; this role requires the candidate to build trust internally and externally to further YUVA’s fundraising objectives
  • Experience in media relations
  • Basic knowledge of design software preferred (Canva, Photoshop, InDesign etc.)
