In today’s fast-paced world, finding a job can be a challenge, especially for fresh graduates and undergraduates who are seeking meaningful opportunities. To bridge this gap, YUVA, in collaboration with HDFC Bank Parivartan recently organised a job fair on 18 January 2025, providing young job seekers from marginalised backgrounds with meaningful career opportunities.
YUVA has long been committed to uplifting young individuals by providing the youth with the resources and training for their holistic development. This initiative focuses on empowering young people by supporting their growth through job readiness programmes and fostering civic awareness and participation. With India having one of the largest youth populations in the world, investing in their development is a vital step toward building a stronger, more inclusive future.

Highlights of the Job Fair
- Diverse recruitment opportunities: The event brought together companies from a range of industries, including finance, engineering, retail etc. This variety ensured that candidates with different academic and professional backgrounds could find roles suited to their skills and aspirations.
Candidates not only applied for positions but also gained valuable exposure to organizational expectations and recruitment processes. Many walked away with job offers, while others progressed to the next round of interviews—a testament to their preparedness and determination.
- Interactive workshops for skill development: Before the job fair, candidates were also provided with skill-building workshops led by the YUVA team at the community-based Indradhanush Youth Resource Centres, where they were skilled with topics like résumé writing, interview preparation, and communication skills, equipping participants with essential tools.
These sessions played an important role in boosting candidates’ confidence. Several attendees remarked on how the workshops helped them effectively during interviews.
- Guidance and networking: Candidates had the opportunity to interact directly with HR representatives and company executives. These one-on-one conversations helped the candidates to establish connections that could benefit them in the future.
